Oxygen is re-airing the Snapped investigation into the murder of Victor Saucedo, who was gunned down by his obsessed ex-girlfriend Vegas Bray at his apartment in Imperial Beach, California.
Saucedo and Bray, both ex-members of the Navy, dated for several months in 2011, but their relationship ended toward the end of the year. Unfortunately, for the next few months, Bray stalked her former boyfriend, and her behavior became increasingly obsessive and erratic.
Bray allegedly slashed Saucedo’s tires and keyed his car on two occasions. She was also accused of throwing paint, eggs, and jelly at the windows and front door of his apartment.
At one point, Saucedo moved into a new apartment to get away from Bray, but she managed to track him down, and the abuse continued.
Bray created a bucket list on her computer, which included buying a gun and killing her ex-boyfriend. She bought a .38 revolver shortly before the murder.
The killer also wrote a couple of memos on her cellphone, threatening to kill Saucedo.
On October 15, 2012, Bray drove to Saucedo’s apartment, and they had sex. However, the following morning, Saucedo made it clear he didn’t want a relationship with Bray.

Bray later claimed she was “shocked” and “ashamed” by Saucedo’s rejection. She left the apartment but returned a few hours later when she shot him nine times. At one point, she had to reload the weapon to continue shooting him. Bray used hollow point ammunition, which is designed to open up and flatten when it enters a body, thereby causing more damage.
The killer spoke to her brother on the phone after the murder; she said, “I think I shot Victor. I shot him. I killed him. I think I killed him. He is dead.” She then dialed 911.
Saucedo was 31 years old and left behind a 7-year-old son.
Bray pleaded not guilty, claiming that she was suffering from post-traumatic stress, which caused her to enter an altered state of consciousness, meaning she didn’t realize what she was doing. A psychiatrist even testified on her behalf, claiming the gunwoman was in “a disassociated state.”
Vegas Bray convicted of killing Victor Saucedo and sentenced to 50 years
However, a jury convicted her in November 2015 of first-degree murder and a gun allegation. Prosecutors called the killing the “ultimate act of obsession.”
Bray was sentenced to 50 years to life. After the sentencing, Saucedo’s brother, Tony Saucedo, told reporters, “Whatever was going to happen was going to happen. It wasn’t going to make a difference. Put my brother here next to me, or put my brother next to his son.”
This episode of Snapped re-airs Monday at 8/7c on Oxygen.
