Oxygen is re-airing the Snapped investigation into the murder of biker Michael Henry, who was gunned down by his girlfriend Rachel Kozloff at his apartment in Erie, Pennsylvania.

On April 12, 2012, Kozloff hid in Henry’s apartment building, waiting for the right time. She then went to his apartment and abruptly ended their eight-week relationship by firing four to five bullets at the 29-year-old as he sat on a sofa bed.

Henry was hit at least three times, twice in the stomach and once in the ear. Henry was killed as his 10-month-old child slept in the next room.

The cops never found the murder weapon, but they did find 9mm shell casings in the apartment, and they learned Kozloff had purchased a .40-caliber handgun and a kit to convert it to 9mm. Investigators also found traces of gunpowder residue on her clothing.

Kozloff eventually admitted to shooting her boyfriend but claimed it was self-defense. She accused him of pushing her down the stairs during an argument. Henry was a big guy, standing at 6’5″ and weighing 285 lbs, whereas Kozloff stood at a petite 5’4″ and weighed 155 lbs.

Investigators learned that the couple had a fiery relationship; according to detectives, text messages proved the two lovebirds fought nearly every day.

Michael Henry had history of violence prior to Rachel Kozloff killing him

Henry was no stranger to violence. He was a founding member of the Iron Wings MC, an outlaw motorcycle gang based in Erie that had been linked to a 2015 shootout with a rival gang. Henry had also spent time in prison for beating another man unconscious.

However, the cops concluded that Kozloff’s claim of self-defense was a lie, and she was arrested four days after the murder.

The prosecutors argued that she was a jealous woman who had killed her boyfriend because she thought he was cheating. She allegedly said she “smelled sex” on him.

Rachel Kozloff jailed for up to 40 years for killing Michael Henry

The prosecution argued for a first-degree murder conviction, but a jury opted for a third-degree murder conviction. The killer was also convicted of recklessly endangering another person and possessing an instrument of crime.

Kozloff was sentenced to 18 to 40 years. She lodged an appeal, which failed. She is currently incarcerated at the State Correctional Institution in Muncy, PA, and will be eligible for parole in 2031.

This episode of Snapped airs Tuesday at 7/6c on Oxygen.
