Fatal Affairs on ID is investigating the murder of Lyntell Washington and her unborn child by Robert Marks in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

On the morning of June 9, 2016, a member of the public spotted Washington’s 3-year-old daughter standing alone by the side of the road. The witness noticed that the child had blood on her foot. The child took the man to her mother’s car, where the witness saw a lot of blood on the backseat.

The witness had already dialed 911, and the operator was recording the conversation with the child. “Mr. Robbie did that blood,” explained the child.

In June 2016, 40-year-old Washington was a teacher at a middle school and Robert Marks was the assistant principal at the same school, and the pair were having an affair. Washington was seven months pregnant, and Marks was the father.

The cops learned that “Mr. Robbie” was Marks, and he became suspect number one. The investigators discovered from cellphone data that Washington and Marks had traveled west from Baton Rouge to Iberville Parish on June 8, the evening she disappeared.

Marks told the police he had briefly met Washington at a Walmart, but they soon parted company. He claimed he had spent the evening at a restaurant, but when the cops inquired at the restaurant, they had no record of him ever being there, and he did not appear on surveillance footage.

The investigators checked Marks’s internet search history and found he had searched for ways to get out of paying child support. More chillingly, he had also searched for a rifle and other incriminating phrases such as “pregnant shot,” “injection of Clorox,” and “What would happen if you inject bleach into your bloodstream?”
