ID is re-airing The Murder Tapes investigation into the murder of Jose Armando Pina, who was gunned down in broad daylight by Cameron Krumrey in Bryan, Texas.
On March 30, 2019, in the middle of the afternoon, as children were playing across the street, Krumrey approached a man standing beside a car on the street. He pulled out a firearm and demanded money, causing the man to back away.
Krumrey turned his attention to 23-year-old Armando Pina, who was sitting in the car. Surveillance cameras captured the pair exchanging brief words before Krumrey fired one shot into his victim and fled the scene.
The Bryan Police Department quickly responded and found Armando Pina was still alive. He was transported to a nearby hospital, but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The cops got a description of the killer from eyewitnesses and the security cameras. The investigators also spent hours combing through surveillance video and Department of Motor Vehicle records to identify the owner of a suspicious and distinctive-looking car that was spotted in the vicinity at the time of the murder.
This narrowed their search down to Krumrey.
