Snapped is examining the murder of Joel Frazier, who was shot dead by his daughter Camilla Frazier-Tidrow and her husband Kory Tidrow in Dalhart, Texas.
Sixty-five-year-old Joel Frazier was reported missing in July 2017, and four months later, his remains were found at an incinerator in a meat processing plant in Dalhart. Bullets from a .22 and a .45 caliber were found lodged in the back of his head.
The police soon arrested Joel’s daughter, Camilla, and his brother-in-law, Tidrow. Detectives relied heavily on the testimony of two of Joel’s former girlfriends, who claimed that he had had a difficult relationship with his daughter and that she had threatened to kill him.
Almost a year prior to Joel’s murder, Lynne Bowers asked Camilla how she was doing, and she responded, “Well if I had a gun, I would blow my dad’s f***ing head off.”
A second former girlfriend, Jana Like, claimed that Camilla told her she wanted to poison Joel with mercury.
Finally, the cops were also aided by Benjamin Buck, an accomplice of the two killers who agreed to testify against them.
Buck was an employee at the meat processing plant where Joel’s remains were recovered. He ended up serving a five-year sentence for his role in aiding and abetting Frazier and Tidrow.

In October 2019, Kory Tidrow was found guilty of killing his father-in-law and was sentenced to life in prison.
At the time, Geoff Barr, with the Texas Attorney General’s office, told jurors it was “not necessarily a difficult case.”
Barr added, “This is a no-brainer with what I have proved here. This is a no-brainer, folks. From what we saw from the photographs, shooting someone in the back of the head, we [would] intend to cause death — not recklessness, not negligence, and certainly not accidental.”
Tidrow’s defense team argued that there was no physical proof that their client had shot Joel and that the prosecution was relying on the testimony of “a bunch of criminal meth addicts.”
Camilla Frazier given life for murder of father Joel Frazier
Two months later, a jury also found Camilla guilty of first-degree murder, and she was sentenced to life.
After the verdict, her legal team said, “Obviously, we hoped for a different outcome. It’s a tragic situation. There’s never going to be any winners in this type of situation.”
