Oxygen is re-airing the Snapped investigation into the murders of James Omara and Michael Pies by Angelina Omara in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, and Ashland, Wisconsin.
Angelina Omara murdered her ex-husband, James Omara, and then approximately 24 hours later, she turned the gun on her boyfriend, Michael Pies.

In November 2011, James Omara’s neighbors noticed a foul odor coming from his apartment in Sauk Rapids.
The building manager entered the apartment and found 43-year-old James Omara lying on a couch with a bullet from a .22 caliber rifle in his head.
James’s head was bloody and had been covered with pillows. Neighbors told investigators that his ex-wife, Angelina Omara, had stayed with him occasionally.

The neighbors claimed Angelina had knocked on their door, asking for a knife to break into the apartment. She was carrying two breakfasts and said she wanted to surprise her ex-husband. A bag she had been carrying was later found beside James’s remains.
Watch the Latest on our YouTube ChannelA friend of James informed the cops that he had told them Angelina’s boyfriend, Pies, had recently threatened him. Angelina had also allegedly accused her boyfriend of abusing her, which is why she supposedly sought sanctuary with James.
The police learned that Omara and Pies had checked into a hotel in Ashland, Wisconsin. When the cops arrived at their hotel room, they found 36-year-old Pies had been killed by a shotgun blast to the head. His death was similar to James Omara’s, and he also had pillows piled on top of his head.
Omara was arrested a few days later in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She initially tried to blame James’s murder on the Hells Angels and then accused Pies of being the killer.

However, Omara eventually pleaded guilty to shooting her ex-husband, James, as he slept on the couch. A few weeks later, she officially pleaded guilty to killing Pies.
Angelina Omara was sentenced to two life sentences without parole. She is serving her sentence in Minnesota and is currently incarcerated at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee, MN.
