In Pursuit With John Walsh is hunting for John Galvao-Sahb, who is wanted for the suspected murder of Earnest Riggs, Jr. in 2021 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
On March 17, 2021, 48-year-old Riggs was sitting in a rented Chevrolet pick-up truck on Vincent Lane when a young man dressed all in black approached the vehicle and fired a handgun at the father of eight children.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office believes the shooter was Galvao-Sahb, and they have since charged him with first-degree premeditated murder.
There were four other men in the Chevrolet at the time of the shooting; two fled the scene, but the other two stayed with Riggs. The police received multiple 911 calls from the public about the killing. The men had been in the area hoping to broker a deal on a concrete job.
During a call for public help in 2022, Sheriff Eric Aden said, “Investigators have been relentless in pursuing evidence to find justice for the victims, and now public assistance can be vital in locating the wanted individuals.”
However, Galvao-Sahb remains at large. The suspected killer had lived at an address on Patio Road in Fort Walton Beach but is believed to have left the area after the murder.

The Riggs family has spoken openly about their heartache and the importance the victim played in their large family. His mother, Kristine Riggs, told the press, “I wear Earnest near my heart every day, every night.”

The family has said they will not be able to heal until Riggs’s killer is behind bars, and they are desperate to know why their loved one was murdered. The cops have not yet established a motive for the killing.

The investigators said Galvao-Sabh purchased a cell phone two days before the murder and had communicated with Riggs using that phone. GPS tracking placed the phone at the crime scene on the day of the shooting.
John Galvao-Sahb is 22 years old, five foot 11 inches tall, and weighs about 150 lbs.
