American Monster: You Got Me Mean features the murders of Tammy Gardner and Gabriel Gabrielli by Clifford Wright.
In 2004, Gardner and Wright were divorced, but they continued their tumultuous relationship. They eventually moved in together in a home near Wilmington, Delaware.
During that time, they had many breakups, but they would find their way back to each other. But that ended when Gardner met Gabrielli at a 4th of July barbeque in 2006.
It was there that Gabrielli asked if she wanted to have drinks at a local bar, and she said yes.
When Wright found out that she was at a bar with another man, he called her cell phone over 40 times within an hour and left threatening messages in her voicemail.
Gardner called the police, and Wright was arrested on July 6 and charged with harassment.
Wright was released from jail.

Three days later, on July 9, 2006, Wright broke into Gardner’s home while she and Gabrielli were sleeping, and he killed them.
Police believe Wright used a hammer during the attack.
An autopsy showed that they died from blunt force trauma to the head, where they suffered at least eight injuries.
They did not have defensive wounds.
After the killing, Wright put their bodies in Gardner’s minivan and drove to Tweed’s Park in Hockessin. He then set the vehicle on fire and fled the scene.
Law enforcement officers found the bodies four days later.
On Jan. 22, 2008, Wright was indicted for the murders of Gardner and Gabrielli, and he went to trial in October of that same year.
During the trial, a former cellmate testified that Wright would talk to him about his relationship with Gardner and the murders.
He said Wright told him that detectives believe Gardner and Gabrielli were murdered with a hammer, but he said that he had beaten them to death with an aluminum baseball bat.
Where is Clifford Wright now?
In November 2009, a jury found Wright guilty of murder, and the following year, on March 5, a judge sentenced him to life in prison without the chance of parole.
He has filed several appeals since then, but they were rejected.
Prison records show that Wright is serving his sentence at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna, Delaware.
